Indifferent Government
This is the site of the Dunkin Donuts store that the Mr. Hinckley office and Planning Staff fought so hard to bring into Town. They refuse to read their own regulations and when confronted with the facts, claimed that the zoning Officer could make her own desision. Conflict of interest was raised and they deliberately refuse to address it. Has Mr. Hinckley cut another deal with the courts and the Dunkin Donuts People without telling the Voters? Stay tuned!!!
Erosion control is supposed to have stakes holding down the hay bales. The zoining office carefully selects who they want to inforce the Town regulation on. Are you on the Hit List?

“We didn’t throw out anything that was good.” Region 14 Superintendent’s Staff. Thanks’ Paul for watching our TAX MONEY.
Dan’s Old House, Main Street South. The public was told that the house would be rebuilt to help keep the character of Main Street. This administration never raised a voice when the house was then changed to a Parking Lot. Leadership!
First and last sidewalk done correctly. If we used the sidewalke money for sidewalks and not new carpets at the Town Hall we would have something that we all could use!
Carefully discarded road signs. Don't the Town officals realize that there is a recycle Center 100 feet away? We the Taxpayer recycle!
- Fuel tank being filled by Highway Dept. rain gutter. Wouldn’t it been better to store the heating oil in this Tank than giving $10,000 back to the oil company? Wouldn’t it been better to help the families that are going tough some times in this ecomony?
Just part of our multi-million highway dept. maintenance program! I probably have the only car in this Town that this Bush couldn't hurt.
- Gasoline pollution on Main Street! The hiding of Town problems by Goverment makes us all less responsible and less of a community.
Flood plain working, Shepard's farm. What will it take to convince Town Goverment that the storage of water in a flood plain is a necessity and not something we might need later?

This is what happens when goverment fails to pay attition! This was one of the nicest views in town. Goverment needs to look in order to see!

Leeching at the Highway Department. Don’t you think we should address the polution problems at the Highway Department before we spend $24,000,000 on a new Garage?
Sign storage at the Highway Department

New doorway at the Highway Department. I guess the open door policy exstend to the Highway Dept’s administration?

Organization at the Highway Department. We might spend less if we could see what we already owned!

Catchbasin cover storage at the Highway Department. If you placed on on top of the other you could count them!

Will these muddy foot prints in our old Town Hall keep company with the Dinosaur prints at Rocky Hill, CT? Will we have to cover them as well to preserve this new concept of leadership? Government?

It’s just before the Big election, is it time to plug the holes in the roof of the Highway Garage. Roof mainance is something that we all do on our homes. It shouldn’t just be at election time.

Yes, Mr. Hinckle and Mr. Bartllet, this was done under your watchful eyes. How did you ever come up with these complementary colors to match our historic buildings. I guess leadership has nothing to do with color or taste.
Fined tuned Goverment!
This sign which was hung in Mitchell School should be re-hung in the Selectman’s and School Board’s offices with a renewed emphasis on the word “OTHERS”. Our First Selectman objected to the right of voters to have a referendum to resolve the reconfiguration issue. He said this and has since said that he supports the wishes of the School Board.
Did he forget about the people who voted him into office? They are the OTHERS!… Government.

Your taxes working to preserve our Historic District. Our Mr. Hinckley, Mr. Barttlet pay thousands of dollars a year to this Main Street business owner. Both of these offices need a new face lift…Government

The Hinckley’s administration wants to build a new $24,000,000 Highway Garage when it can’t take care of the buildings that the town already has! Do you want to continue this leadership and Guardianship?

Here’s a road sign fifty feet from the Town Highway department. Does this represent the quality of life that many of us paid for with the 30% increase of our home assessments this year? Somebody should be responsible? Please!
Is this management? Government!

Under the guidance of the Selectman’s office they determined that the quickest way for water to get into the basement was via a straight pipe. Yes, 2 months till election time so we hired a good contractor to fix the problem. How many mof you handle roof water this way? Any of you? Leadership!
Government!
“Four wheel drive vehicles only allowed.”
This is our soccer field Parking Lot that didn’t need a complete plan or an application. The selectman blamed the Wetlands Commission when it was their “no thought out” plans that failed to pass the test. Why didn’t someone ask the question, Where is the runnoff going to go???

Leadership can be enhanced by experience. Leadership can also be bolstered by the use of common sense. If you participated as a member of the Board of Selectman for eight years and looked out the Town Office building window and saw the ridgeline disappearing before your eyes wouldn’t you think something should be done to protect the natural look of our Town? Why for the savings of $1500 on the electric bill would you tell the Town employees to take a day off every week? Why would you close the Land Use Office when they can’t enforce the regulation and easements that are supposed to protect the ridgelines in a five day work week?
By the way you taxpayers put money in the budget for these people to work five days a week, what happened to that money?

More cleanup crews at the Old Town Hall, after the fact.
This weekend hundreds of people were invited to visit the Art Show at our Old Town Hall. I, along with others, brought in art materials to be displayed for kids and adults to see. When I brought my exhibit material I mentioned to the ladies who were receiving them that there was an awful lot of dust in the air. I received word today, 9-23-2009, that there was a high concentration of lead found in the air by the State Department of Health on an inspection last week. Our Leader, Paul Hinckley, hired a contractor to disk sand the lead peeling based paint just before the Open House. Hinckley refused to install containment measures to trap the lead based dust, to save money. Was his election bid so important that he pushed care aside and let kids and their parents into the building to show what a wonderful job he has been doing? Did he even think of the health of the town crew that he sent in to help clean up the mess? Did he even think of anyone but himself and his image?
Now you all know the color of his office: colorless and odorless, like lead particles.

This mildewed sign has graced the front lawn of our Town hall for years. Was anybody looking out their front window? Government!
