Why is it that government can send out the tax bills on time, but are always a day late and a dollar short when it comes to protecting the taxpayer from those that don’t care, or are here only to put money in their own pockets? Didn’t The First Selectman, the Town Planner and the Highway Superintendent, who was a Connecticut State Highway Engineer, see that the paving job done on Route 6 in the south end of town over a week ago was poorly done? Why did we wait until the gas company paving came through the center of Woodbury with this lousy asphalting to question the quality of work? Why didn’t we stop this kind of work where it started instead of just driving over it and saying "I’m leaving, it’s close to the Southbury town line"? Why did these three offices look the other way again and yet found time to except raises from the taxpayers of Woodbury? Could it be that it is easer to blame the State 100% and just sit back and say, "You are right, the job is terrible!" Good show guys! Duncan McDougall 84 Middleroad Tpk.
